After experimenting with Sarah Morris' work, I felt her style of abstract art wasn't something I wanted to use in this project because it didn't fit well with what I planned in mind. However, I didn't want to completely scrap her from this project because I did want to use her, I just didn't know how I could incorporate her style and her practice of art in my work. So I decided I would take her use of bold colours that she uses to create the abstract shapes and smudge them to create a fade of different colours which I would use for the background.

I looked into another artist, Mali Morris, a British contemporary artist, who also creates works of abstract art but in a different form compared to Sarah Morris. Sarah Morris uses brush strokes and focuses on texture in her works, showcasing each brush stroke within each piece. Alongside this, Cy Twombly, an artist, suggested by David, creates large scale, graffiti like works as shown, was an artist I researched and looked into. I liked the way he used large circular motions to create big infinite rings which was quite interesting and unique from other artists and their use of techniques. i think today was mainly about research and developing my idea which wasn't the most interesting task but useful.
