During my studio time I decided I would sit down and got some ideas on what I could do to combine my own practice of sweatshirt and T-shirt designing and the trip from the British Museum. I decided that I would paint a T-shirt using my ideas from the first project we did for part two on scale an illusion whereby I had created a structure using the tunnels I had seen from the journey representing time and travel. In my sketchbook I recreated The whole structure and make it a bit more illusionistic and three-dimensional just like Bridget Riley as much as possible. I then decided to take one of the most famous pieces of Greek history that’s held in the map and paint that. Even though it wasn’t part of the trip that I had seen during the British Museum it was something that had represented the idea of colonisation and how half of the head was lost throughout the time and journey and once it had a full structural form. I wanted to do this by creating two T-shirts which would also be part of the idea of love and the idea that I had been looking into of Cupid and psyche contrasting the two tones of black and white.
